Why is my site on this database?

All of the sites on these database have come from one of two places:

Firstly from the “Share Your Site” thread (view it here) on the Apple iWeb Discussion Board. I visited every site on the thread and sent an email to every contributor who’s email address I could find. (Some I didn’t find but included the site anyway).

The second reason that your site is on here is that you have asked me to add it, either by email or on the iWeb forum.

Why is my site listed under Cats when its clearly about Dogs?

Whoops, my fault! There are well over 1700 sites listed (updated 26 December 2007), when visiting each one I determine if the topic that you requested is ok, or is there another that already exists? If you would like to change the Topic that your site is listed under, drop me a line, providing your URL and the correct category.

Why is my site classed as Business, I think its Personal.

When reviewing sites I used this simple theory, if a site had a Shop, For Sale, Buy Here type of link then I classed it as business. If you want it changed, drop me a line, including your URL.

Why have you built this site?

So that iWeb users have a place to showcase their sites and get some inspiration from the work of others. The Share Your Site thread had become a monster, this was the place to go to view sites, someone suggested a database type of site, and I though “why not, I could do that”.

This is a site for iWeb users to show their iWeb created sites to other iWeb users.

I would like my site removed please...

How many entries can I have?

Each website is restricted to one topic entry, (unless you can convince me otherwise with a very good reason), if you provide my with a www. and a web.mac.com address, I will use the www. as you have paid for this and would no doubt like it used.

An individual has no restrictions on the number of entries that they can submit, as long as the site is iWeb created and not a mirror of another site already listed.

Note: I visit every site before adding it, and I have discovered that I remember sites I have already listed!

I can’t find a topic that suits my site, can I ask for a new one?

Sure, no problem :-) But I would like to that if there is a similar topic that you could have a sub heading for, then let me know, i.e. Music - Jazz.

Do you mind if I put a link on my site to iWebUSerSites?

Not at all (As long as your site isn’t inappropriate), feel free, this site is just somewhere for iWebbers to see what other iWebbers have done

Does the content of the sites undergo any moderation?

Yes, there is a little bit of moderation that goes on, so far it has only been a very small number of sites and they have warnings that are posted prior to accessing the site in question.

Sites that have racist, sexist, pornographic, homophobic or hate content will NOT be added to the list. If you find a site that you consider offensive, please let me know and we can discuss it, thanks.
